Thomas Magnum is a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. A charming rogue, an American hero and a die-hard Detroit Tigers fan, Magnum has Juliet Higgins and her Dobermans to keep him in line, as well as his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors T.C. and Rick when he needs backup on a job. With keys to a vintage Ferrari in one hand, aviator sunglasses in the other, and an Old Düsseldorf longneck chilling in the fridge, Thomas Magnum is on the case.
I have seen better P.I series, not that they are that great to begin with. I am still waiting for that one that will knock my socks off.
Apart from the beautiful Hawaii, fast cars, expensive mansion, the incredible dobermans, the helicopter and Magnum’s magnanimously gorgeous body;there is absolutely nothing to look forward to.The acting is poor, the stunts are fairly decent but if you are an action fan; you’ll probably hate them, the talking over himself in the scenes when its obvious what is happening makes you feel dumb,switching from one scene to another looks like a struggle, working up the romance between Magnum and Juliet is not as anticipatory as you’d hope…so many wrong things happening at once!
Its safe to watch around kids though and they’ll have fun with it even if you don’t.
