One-Punch Man is an ongoing Japanese Action Parody, Superhero web comic created by an author using the pseudonym ONE and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. The series quickly went viral, surpassing 7.9 million hits in June 2012.
In this new action-comedy, everything about a young man named Saitama screams “MEDIOCRE,” from his lifeless expression, to his bald head, to his unimposing physique. Though, this average-looking fellow doesn’t have your average problem… He’s essentially a superhero that’s looking for hard-hitting adversaries! The problem is, every time he finds a promising candidate he beats the snot out of them in one punch. Will Saitama finally find an evil anti-hero strong enough to challenge him? Follow Saitama through his comical romps as he searches for new bad guys to contest!
On his adventures, he meets new associates, enemies, and his own pupil, the cyborg Genos, and joins the Heroes Association in order to gain official acknowledgement as a hero. Despite crushing many over powered monsters that even the Heroes Association’s top members are unable to defeat, Saitama struggles to gain respect. Most folks despise and hate him due to his plain physical appearance,(begging the question does the appearance make the hero or his/her spirit make them a hero) and some accuse him of being a phony hero. Only a small number of individuals recognize his unbelievable talent and humbleness towards others.

I went bananas after watching this series, it is so different from any hero story, you know that he defeats all his enemies with one punch but that doesn’t spoil the fun, you will be captivated and need to watch more and more of it, (the opening sound track is amazing too. ”oooooone puuuuunch!!!!”) Any anime fan that doesn’t like or is unimpressed by this series (wewe ni msaliti, tutakutoa kwa chama).
